The goals of the UKSA are threefold and simple;

1. To raise public awareness of sumo in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
   
   
2. To eventually be able to provide UK and overseas (Japan) based training facilities for British passport holders. A place to learn about and actually partake in sumo training.
   
   
3. To be recognized as the representative organization of sumo in the UK by relevant domestic sporting authorities and to work with such authorities to further promote #1 above.
